Hang out in our orbital station complete with simulation rooms and firing rangeLeaderboards and Ranked Mode games.Official dedicated servers for the best multiplayer experienceConstant Updates! Complete redesign of the teleport system. Dash teleport, cooldowns, graphical improvements, better use of cover and the tactical value is fully integrated into the gameplay. We've worked hard on this aspect and we believe it's the best teleport system yet in VR.Damage system redesign. Improved bullet netcode, bullet speed, removed bullet distance limits, added scattering as a stat for weapon balancing, and flexible function based damage modeling for all weapons.Inventory and weapon handling redesign. Massively simplified the inventory system to make gun-play more fun and exciting. Previously this was an overly complicated setup which required multiple menus and clicks to grab, equip, and shoot weapons. Now weapons are generated on the fly when needed. Simply click the trigger to grab, reload and shoot. Reloading is as quick as bringing the controller down to your belt and hitting the trigger to bring up a new gun at any time. Tactical reloads are possible and used guns are discarded automatically.Grenade redesign. Grenade throws are entirely predicted clientside now so they behave as what you expect from other single-player VR games. Grab, hold, and throw using natural motion.Drone and AI improvements across the board. Optimizations, targeting improvements, new graphical effects, and health bars.Added Voice chat. Hold right grab buttons for Global chat and left grab buttons for Team chat. We've remove the text based quick chat and replaced it with a VOIP system. As always, we route the voice data through our dedicated servers so you never leak your IP address to other players.Brand new menu system. Our options menu is now available at all times as a controller connected menu. It is also context aware depending on which server and gamemode type mode you're connected to. New Weapons: Sniper Rifle, Shotgun, and Rocket Launcher.Public internet space station Lobby servers with onboard firing range, arena server lists, and hangar bay.Leaderboards and Ranked Mode games.Too many bug fixes to count. Massive improvements to server optimizations. 7aa9394dea Title: Orbital Strike: ArenaGenre: Action, Indie, Early AccessDeveloper:Sandglass Games LLCPublisher:Sandglass Games LLCRelease Date: 12 Jul, 2016 Orbital Strike: Arena Activation Code [Xforce] This is one of my favorite VR titles! Exciting gameplay mixed with fun and easy-to-learn controls, as well as decent graphics and few glitches make this one of my favorite games to play on the Vive. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who is into VR. I have a blast playing this game and am excited to see what else you guys work on!. Really cool concept but need more players and game modes!. ok.. where to start... this game looks nice but not much to look at.. think of a more dull looking tron. very solid gameplay. its pretty much like playing sanctum, its a tower defense with a mix of FPS. now the shooting is very spot on. My biggest complaint with this game is that it is only online multiplayer. in a time where vr is still growing this can not be a limitation. You need a single player option. Also the movement in this game only lets you jump around. but it pauses between jumps about every 2 to 3 seconds you can make another jump. in a fps i find that movement to be not logical. i would prefer running. I say hold off on this game till it makes some changes. if it stays like this i dont see it lasting long. titanfall was online only and look what happened to that game.. Devs completely left this game. No one ever even played it...What a dissapointment.. Orbital Strike: Arena is a very solid fps experience. The servers felt like they had very low ping and the few weapons that are available right now are enjoyable to use.If you like battledome this game is similar in that it is a multiplayer fps, HOWEVER at the moment it doesn't have the games that battledome does such as TDM, King of the Hill, ect. instead it has a game mode that I can only express as a fusion between a FPS and a MOBA such as League of Legends or DOTA.Each team has four primary turrets right on the inside of their wall and two stations that produce reinforcment drones. Once a team gets past those there is another bubble that contains two more turrets and the primary objective. You will need to work with your team to fight through the drones and take out these objectives in order to push into the enemies base.Very solid and fun experience and with it being a multiplayer FPS the replay value is amazing. I know that I will be spending a lot of time in this game between new releases.(Linked below is a gameplay commentary that I did for Orbital Strike: Arena so if you are interested in seeing what the gameplay is like then check it out and let me know what you think!)http:\/\/steamcommunity.com\/sharedfiles\/filedetails\/?id=723390301. Really cool concept but need more players and game modes!. A fantastic game. Only issue is the lack of players, All you Battledome players need to buy this!!! I know this is a short review but I want to hop back in, may update this later and go more in depth.. This was not ready to go out the door.First off, right away I was getting missing materials (pink materials) on some effects, and as far as I can tell there is only one map \/ arena.Secondly, I could not get a game that was performant at all - The game is clearly server authoritative (which is good), but nothing was responsive - picking up a weapon took about a second, and everything and everyone was lerping around at almost the same rate. There was a couple of times where I could connect to a server and for a few minutes things were good, but once more than two people were in the game, nothing was responding well. I tried all the US servers (as I am in the US). Not sure what the backend is here (Photon maybe? I don't usually see problems with Photon servers though)Finally, while not as egregious as the above, I wasn't a fan of the gunplay mechanics. I don't like not having control over when a reload happens - and in VR with tracked controllers, doing a 'manual' reload is much more fun than waiting for a timer to complete. The grenades never worked for me - but then again, I'm thinking this was because of the server performance issues I was having, they would fly out but not explode (at least, I never saw them explode on my client). The amount of content that is here does not justify the price - yet. The concept is solid but it still needs some work. As with battledome, I'm not sure where I sit on the teleport mechanic in a VR shooter - waiting to teleport is really frustrating, and a huge part of '2D' shooters is fluidity of movement, teleporting makes the action feel stilted. In its current state, and with the amount and quality of content that's available at this price, I can't recommend it.. Fun game! Mechanics are solid. Would like to see more variety in weapon types.
